Silver Market: Family-to-Family, Valparaiso, Englewood, Monaco (soon)

Welcome to the Zoseco Silver Marketplace, where members connect peer-to-peer (and family-to-family) for honest silver exchanges at prices near spot, cutting out the middleman.

Since 2014, Zoseco has been a stronghold for families committed to purity, protection, peace, and productivity. Our Silver Marketplace extends this mission into the monetary realm, helping families and family-owned businesses protect what they’ve earned through direct, ethical silver trading.

Why Silver? Why Now?

Silver has served as honest money for thousands of years. Unlike paper currency subject to inflation and devaluation, silver holds intrinsic value that can’t be printed away or legislated out of existence. It was used to make spoons because it is antibacterial, antiviral, and antimicrobial. It is also easy to understand the value when you hold a pound of silver in your hands, you don’t want to toss it away like you can with cash or a credit card.

Consider this: A silver dollar once bought a day’s worth of goods. That same ounce of silver still does, but today’s paper dollar? It takes over 30 of them to buy what one bought a generation ago.

As of today, silver trades at around $52.22 per ounce. Yet traditional dealers can create a massive spread: buying from you at $45-47/oz and selling to you at $55+/oz. That’s a 20% loss of value just walking through their door. This is in large part because they need to be experts when trading in higher value gold, or rare coins. We ignore the complicated side, and stick strictly with fine ‘generic’ silver.

We believe families deserve better, and while the best way to protect your family’s wealth is by a diversified pan, we want to help in the area we think is most missing.

Peer-to-Peer Silver Trading: Cutting Out the Middleman

The Zoseco Silver Marketplace facilitates direct member-to-member exchanges of generic silver bullion: rounds + bars valued primarily for their silver content, not ‘numismatic premiums’. Some people like rare coins, but that doesn’t mean we all need to pay the price.

This means:

  • Sellers get closer to spot price instead of dealer buy-backs

  • Buyers pay closer to spot price instead of inflated retail markups

  • Both parties benefit from fair, transparent transactions within a trusted community

We focus on generic silver because it’s straightforward: weight, purity, and current spot price determine value. No guessing about collectibility or artistic premiums: just honest silver at honest prices.

For Family-Owned Businesses

If you own a business, converting some excess profits or cash into silver may be a prudent choice for protecting your family’s legacy. (We’re not financial advisors, just people who believe in cutting out the middleman when it makes sense.)

Rather than letting cash sit in accounts where inflation slowly erodes its value, or quickly, for example the last year has created a 50% change in silver prices, consider:

  • Diversifying beyond vulnerable paper assets

  • Hedging against economic uncertainty and currency devaluation

  • Building tangible wealth that can be passed down through generations

  • Maintaining liquidity that’s recognized worldwide

Pope Leo XIII wrote in Rerum Novarum (1891) that families thrive when they control their own means of production and resources. For modern family businesses, that includes protecting capital in forms that maintain purchasing power across time.

Silver aligns with Zoseco’s mission: helping families stay together by giving them tools to weather economic storms.

How It Works

We’re keeping this simple and human:

We facilitate introductions within our trusted community. Members handle transactions privately using whatever payment method they agree upon, cash, bank transfer, bitcoin, barter or or trade. We recommend meeting at our Valparaiso location for safety and verification. If anything feels off at any point, please let us know.

Start small. Build trust. Grow from there.

What We’re Trading

Generic silver bullion:

  • Silver rounds (typically 1 oz, .999 fine)

  • Silver bars (various weights, .999 fine)

We focus on weight and purity, not collectibility. This keeps transactions straightforward and prices tied to spot.

Safety & Best Practices

Peer-to-peer trading anything of value requires some diligence, even silver through us:

  • Meet safely: Our Valparaiso space is available for member meetings.

  • Document everything: Written agreements protect both parties.

  • Use secure payment: Cash in-person or verified bank transfers; avoid methods that can’t be confirmed.

  • Start small: Build relationships before large transactions.

  • Trust your instincts: If something feels off, walk away and let us know.

We’re building a community of families who share values of honesty, life, and justice. That foundation helps, but prudence still applies.

Why This Matters to Zoseco

Silver trading is surprisingly central to our mission.

Purity: Honest money, honest dealings, transparent transactions.
Protection: Shielding families from inflation and economic exploitation.
Peace: Building trusted networks where neighbors help neighbors.
Productivity: Converting work into lasting value that serves families for generations.

Whether you’re training to race e-bikes to Monaco, preparing to become an attorney who fights for justice, crafting beautiful things with your hands, or running a family business. you need resources that hold their value. Silver helps provide that foundation.

We firmly believe the traditional system is filled with those who justify working to extract wealth from honest families. We’re competing by offering an alternative: family-to-family, peer-to-peer, honest exchange.

Historical Context: Silver as Honest Money

For millennia, silver has been:

  • Money recognized across cultures and borders

  • Antibacterial (hence silver spoons and medical uses)

  • Industrial (solar panels, electronics, water purification)

  • Beautiful (jewelry, crafts, heirlooms)

During the high-inflation 1970s, silver returned over 32% annually. When currencies fail, silver endures. When governments devalue, silver preserves. Technically it’s speculation, but we’re speculating that the money we think God gave us, is supposed to be the money we’re supposed to use. For a comparison, consider https://wtfhappenedin1971.com/

The erosion of silver from American coinage in 1965 marked a turning point: the divorce of money from tangible value. Fractional reserve banking and endless money printing transfer wealth from savers to debtors, from families to institutions. Essentially the entire banking system is filled with usury, and theft. We reject that theft and instead we encourage tangible value.
