Anti-Corruption Efforts from Zoseco
Zoseco began in downtown Valparaiso in 2014 as a simple coworking space, renting out desk space. This introduced Zoseco founder Eric Zosso, a Valparaiso native and former military officer forthe Space Force, to some deceptive tactics in the local environment. In our second decade of operations, Zoseco is now launching anti-corruption efforts. Illinois and Northwest Indiana have a long, ugly history of corruption—and we are seeing similar patterns take hold here. Valparaiso was built by generations of honest, hard-working people who have sought the best for their families and future. This has helped turn Valparaiso into a very desirable community. This desirability creates a target for insiders and outsiders to seek to own a piece of the pie. There is of course nothing wrong with wanting to live in a great community; however, the problem lies when unethical tactics are used. Furthermore, many of the honest and hard working families and property owners are not equipped to challenge sophisticated misusers of the system. From our base, we’re working to challenge dishonest dealings, and we are seeking your help.
How You Can Step In
We are asking you to get involved, whether you have something to report or skills to bring. Digital crimes and sophisticated schemes have become harder to identify, yet with cooperation and technological advances in areas such as Large Language Models, we have a joint opportunity to bring unethical patterns to light. If you have noticed anything that causes you to pause—or know of someone who seems like a targeted individual, then we would like to learn more. Criminal investigations require rock-solid evidence, yet often individuals may only have bits and pieces. Organized criminals understand these limitations and know where they can get away with things. However, now more easily-available sophisticated tools allows for pattern recognition of situations which historically were unseen. You can submit tips to info@zoseco.com, or share with us on our Discord channel.
We are also looking for those who have a penchant for technology and are looking for a tougher challenge than a video game—Technological skills like data analysis, digital prompting, and cybersecurity can be used for more than “business” or games, and instead can better serve justice. While the Space Force brings together tech-savvy military members, there is an equally-necessary local need for those who can take risks for the betterment of their community, and we are looking to connect with those who wish to serve our neighbors.

What is Ahead
We are asking you to report what you have seen or join the work with us. We are especially interested in connecting with those who can harness technology to track down and block these threats before they take hold in Valparaiso. This anti-corruption effort is one way to help protect the people who call Valparaiso home, and fits in to our pro-life heart and virtue-building work.
